Site History
This site started when I (April) was allowed to adopt this fanlisting from a girl by the name of Michele.
When I frst applied, I was turned down in favor of Michele. But about a month later, she decided to put it
up for adoption. Of course I pounced on it as it was a major wishlister and Michele handed it over to me.
Come to find out, Nikie had also applied, but when she heard that I had too and how much I wanted it, she backed
out so I could have it. How sweet is that.
So I got the fanlisting up and I named it Soulmates. Ever since I first started watching I Dream of Jeannie,
Tony's and Jeannie relationship has been one of my main favorite parts about the show and I believed them to
be soulmates in every respect.
I started out running in manually, but within weeks, Michele had taught me how to use phpfanbase and I ran it on
fanbase for a little under a year and a half. Then come January 2007, most FL owners were switching to Enthusiast
or some other script because there was a major security breach in fanbase. So Nikie sat down online with me one night
and helped totally recode my collective and helped me install Enthusiast. Sometime later, I had Nikie make me
a new layout (as I still didn't know how to do my own graphics yet) for Tony's and Jeannie fanlisting to coinside
with the new coding style and with Enthuiast.
Then at the end of September 2007, although I wasn't really looking to give up this fanlisting, I knew it was on Nikie's
wishlist and I wanted to do something nice for her. So I offered her the fanlisting to adopt. She accepted and being
the sweetheart she is, she asked me to stay on and co-own it with her since we both loved it so much and that way we
could both add to it. So I graciously accepted.
We both agreed to expand the site to include more content than just the fanlisting. We decided to get a domain for it
and rename it.
Upon agreeing to get a domain for the site and giving it a new name, we had a bit of trouble coming up with something.
We talked about the different characteristics of their relationship and about thier love for each other, etc... Then Nikie
said she had though of One Heart, but didn't think it would be good for a domain. Then she was talking baout how strong the
bond was between them from day one and on. So I got to thinking of her One Heart suggestion and what she said about the strong
bond between them and it came to me---Bonded Hearts. I asked Nikie what she thought and she sgreed thatw as a perfect name. So
you can see that we both had a part in picking out the new name and domain. So thus bonded-hearts.org was born (Nikie picked
out the .org extention).
