I Dream of Jeannie 5.03 & 5.04: Guess Who's Going To Be a Bride
This fanlisting is called Jeannie's Dream Come True because Jeannie's dream finally comes true in this two part episode. Actually, it takes place
at the end of part 2 if you really want to get technical.
At the beginning of part 1, Jeannie is visiting with Roger Healey. She has requested his help in helping her figure out what to give
Tony for their 5th anniversary as Master and Genie. She wants it to be really special. As they are discussing it, Jeannie's Uncle Sully
smokes in with two of his colleagues. He tells her he is stepping down as the Maharaja of Basenji and he's passing the throne on to her. She then
has the bright idea to give Tony the honor as her gift to him for their anniversary.
In beknowing to what has been happening, Tony is at NASA, discussing with Dr. Bellows and General Schaeffer the phinkilium that Kasha, a
neighboring country of Basenji, also their arch enemy, has that they desparately need for their propulsion system. As Tony walks into his office,
Uncle Sully and his colleagues are waiting for him, although he mistakes them to be the people from Kasha. So he proceeds to show them around NASA and when Uncle Sully
find out that Tony supports Kasha, he figures him to be a trader. At the point, Roger has come in and that's when Tony finds out that Uncle
Sully is Jeannie's uncle.
Uncle Sully then turns Tony into a gally slave. Jeannie convinces Uncle Sully to release him and he does because Jeannie's loves him so much, but there
were strings attached. He had to agree to avenge his support of Kasha and he had to marry Jeannie. Once Tony is released, he fakes like he'll do what is
asked. Then the real ambassador from Kasha shows up and Uncle Sully pulls all kind of stuff to try and get Tony is trying to kill him. First he tries it with a
dagger, then a knife, a den of tigers, and a glass of acid (which burns a huge hole in Tony's shoe). General Schaeffer really lets him and Roger have it.
Meanwhile, Uncle Sully is hiding in a trash can in the space lab, where all of this is taking place, and Majro Nelson traps him by putting a lid on top. He tells him to listen
up and that he will not allow him to push him (Tony) around. He was Jeannie's Master and that's the way it was. In fact he was sick and tired of her and her magical nincompoop
and that it was fowling up his life. He wouldn't marry her if she were the last genie on earth. At that moment, Jeannie pops in under the trash can lid and tells him goodbye forever and then
blinks out.
Tony rushes home with flowers, with Roger with him, to apologize to her. But it was no good. She was gone. The two try to make a deal out of it that he was a free man now
and he wouldn't have to make up any stories for all her tricks anymore. But it was obvious that Tony knew he had blown it this time and he wished he hadn't said what he did. As
they try to find her in something else in the house, Dr. Bellows shows up and informs them that Major Nelson has been thrown out of the space program because of all the stuff with the ambassador
of Kasha.
When back at NASA, Dr. Bellows tries to defend Tony to General Schaeffer, but it was no good. General Schaeffer was sorry he to do it, but
he sent Tony to the Aleutians, and Roger along with him. After being there for three weeks, Tony gets a letter from Dr. Bellows that he and Roger
have been reinstated because they were able to get some phinkilium from an unknown source. They've been assigned to the Apollo 14 project adn to proceed to Cocoa Beach immediately.
Also enclosed in the letter was an artcile that on Wednesday, there would be a ceremony in Basenji where Jeannie would be crowned queen and would choose a husband. Tony's
face falls as he realizes that Jeannie was getting married. Roger asked what he cared as Tony had said he never wanted to see her again in his life. Now this is where Tony
finally fesses up. He says, "And you believed me? I haven't been able to get her out my head sicne we've been here. I dream of he every night......I'm in love with her." He then realizes just how soon
Wednesday was coming and said to Roger they have to go. So even though Roger was worried they would really get kicked out this time, Tony was determined to get to Basenji to win Jeannie
back. Unsure, Roger went along anyway.
Upon arriving in Basenji, the ceremony had already started. Jeannie was shocked. Her uncle was angry they had interrupted the ceremony. Tony insisted on speaking to Jeannie. She was willing, but her uncle wouldn't
him. He said he (Tony) had no claim on her anymore). So Tony said he demanded the right to ask for he hand in marriage. Jeannie was really shocked and was about
to remind him of what he had said before. But Tony interrupted her saying he knew what he said and he must have been out of his mind. He couldn't live with out her.
He loved her and he wanted her to be his wife. Jeannie just melted and then suddenly realized the stipulations her uncle had placed on anyone desiring to be Jeannie's husband. He said all who wanted could have a chance
to guess the riddle of the box. If they were right, theyg ot to marry Jeannie. If they were wrong, they were beheaded. Jeannie wasn't about to let that happen, but her uncle let him participate anyway. Well, Tony
guessed wrong and was almost beheaded, but Jeannie just wouldn't have it. SHe blinked him to their house in Cocoa Beach. Her uncle was aggravated that she had done that, but he let it go.
After being blinked back to his (Tony's) house, Jeannie blinked in in his arms and she kept kissing all over his face so excited and thrilled that Tony loved her and had risked his life to get her back. She was even willing not to
marry him and just remain his genie if only that meant just being near him. Tony had her blink them to NASA. He realized she still had her get-up from the ceremony on and her to blink on some other clothes and she did.
At that moment Dr. Bellows and General Schaeffer come walking through the corridor. Jeannie starts to blink out but Tony orders her to stay. Dr. Bellows and General Schaeffer are surprised to see him, saying
the last they heard he was over Russia. Tony said they must be mistaken and that they just got back from the Aleutians. It is then that Tony introduces Jeannie to them as his fiancee. Jeannie gets wide eyed and then starts
to cry because she's so happy. Realizing they left Roger in Basenji, Tony has her blink him back and she does so without Dr. Bellows or General Schaeffer seeing it. Roger doesn't know Tony has introduced Jeannie as his fiancee and starts to
escort her out. But they tell him that she's Tony's fiancee and he stops. General Schaeffer sends them home for they day. When their backs are turned, Jeannie blinks them all out. And all is happy and ends well.
