Barbara and Larry
Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman are best known for their roles as Jeannie and
Major Anthony Nelson on I Dream of Jeannie. Ever since their association on
the show, they have been very close friends. I believe is was their close
association off camera is what made them click so well on camera. And what is
really awesome is that they are both married to other people, whom they love
very much, and they can still remain close friends with each other, with their
spouses blessings. And one of the most adorable things about their off screen
relationship is Larry always calls Barbara "Honey". It's so endearing. :)
Back in 1999, they appeared together (along with Bill Daily and Sidney Sheldon) on The Donny and Marie Show for an I Dream of Jeannie reunion. What was really cute and sweet is when Donny and Marie introduced them, they (Larry and Barbara) came walking out on stage holding hands. Now how is that for a friendship. :)
In March of 2006, Larry and Barbara made a publicity tour in New York to promote the first season dvd release of I Dream of Jeannie. Also in that same month, the two appeared on stage together for the play called "Love Letters". It was the first time the two had acted together since Barbara's guest appearance on Dallas in 1990.
No matter how often or seldom they are able to get together, it is obvious they will always share a special bond and friendship. Barbara herself has even stated that out of all the actors she has worked with, she loved working with Larry the most and she was the most comfortable working iwth him than anyone else.
